Pedigree and Breeding Lines

For Joy, the sire of For Glory, is the son of For Pleasure by Furioso II. For Joy was placed third out of a very strong group of 53 stallions at his 100-day stallion performance test in Germany and earned the titles of double Olympic team gold medalist and twice European team champion for his jumping career. For Joy is a superb sire, who passes on his strong genes to his offspring. Three years after being imported to South Africa by the Callaho Stud, For Joy, under saddle with Jaco Fourie, won the title South African Freestyle Dressage Champion and a year later was the highest ranking dressage horse in South Africa.

Brandenburg Classical Charm, For Glory’s dam, was bred by Frank Dittmann, Brandenburg Stud. She is by the imported Holstein stallion, Canello. Her dam, Sonnet, has produced many talented youngsters.
