Airborn, a dark bay stallion, born on the 22nd of March 2005, is an imported Holsteiner, who is currently competing successfully in the 1.20m classes, and has all his points to go to the Open classes.

Airborn, Valanta and Trees were sourced for London Lane Stud by Benny and Isabelle de Ruiter in Holland.  Our thanks and love to them for finding us such fantastic horses.

Some of Airborn’s successes to date include winning the prestigious Young Horse Performance Series (YHPS) which is held annually over 5 legs. He was the 2010 YHPS 5-year old Potential Showjumping Champion and won again in 2012 as the 7-year old Potential Showjumper as well as picking up the trophy as the 7-year old Showjumping Champion. He won the Adult 1.20m Derby Trial class at the 2012 Oktoberfest Show.

He has the most fantastic temperament, is very athletic, and has a powerful jump that shows off his huge scope and extreme carefulness, with excellent paces. Airborn has a modern build, and stands at 17.1 hh. He has a number of foals on the ground, who have inherited his excellent movement, class and height.

Pedigree and Breeding Lines

Caretino, one of Germany’s top stallions, has produced horses that excel in both the dressage and jumping rings. Caretino was placed 3rd out of 52 stallions, at his Stallion Performance Test. In 2001, he was ranked 5th in the Top Ten German Stallions, and was also the youngest stallion (at 18 years) to be in the Top Ten. Caretino is by Caletto II, the most important son of the Holsteiner breed mainstay, Cor de la Bryere. As a young stallion, Caretino won his 100-day test at the Holsteiner Verband with scores of 9.5 for jumping and 9 for general performance. Caretino’s offspring who have competed at International Level in jumping include AK Caridor Z, Crocodile Dandy, Chandra, Toyzrus, Camirez, as well as the approved stallions Caretano Z and Caretello B. In the dressage field Caretino’s approved sons Cheenok, Carpaccio and Cockney are considered some of the best movers ever to have entered the sport.

Mytens was an influential Thoroughbred sire, who first raced in the United States, winning three races and was placed second in seven starts. On arrival in Europe, he was approved by the KWPN Society and the Holsteiner Verband. He was the first Thoroughbred to have completed all seven competitions, including the finals, in the Dutch National Stallion Competitions in 1990. Mytens had a superb jumping technique and great power and elasticity, which he has passed on to his offspring. Airborn’s dam, Hostess II, was related to Rosa, a State Premium Oldenburg mare who was also the dam of the approved stallions Lord Logger, Lordon I and Lordon II (all by Lord).
